WEDDING CEREMONY on THE GREAT WALL

 Day 1: Arrival in Beijing

  • Upon arrival in Beijing International Airport, met by a local guide and transferred to Regent Hotel in Beijing.

 Day 2: Great Wall Wedding

 Breakfast in Regent;

  • Transferred to Brickyard (a local boutique hotel at the foot of Great Wall of Mutianyu) where you can change in the wedding clothes. Transferred to the Great Wall at Mutianyu and go up by cable car. On the Great Wall there will be the weddingceremony, with a group of performers playing music by traditional instruments like drum, cymbal, suona horn, sheng and also enjoying the performances such as lions dancing ceremony, face changing and Chinese folk music played by Gu Zheng.
  • Afterwards, transferred back to the Brickyard.
  • At the Brickyard we have a praying ceremony with a local witness (a local famous farmer).The bride will sit in a Bridal sedan chairlifted by hamals, with a group of performers playing music by traditional instruments like drum, cymbal, suona horn, sheng.
  • After a cocktail, there will be a lunch/dinner at the Brickyard hotel;
  • Stay in Brickyard to have your own party with the families and friends.

 Day 3: City Tour

  • Picked up in Brickyard and transferred to Beijing for an excursion to the Tian’anmen Square, the largest square in the world. Then walk to the Forbidden City, the imperial palace during the Ming and Qing dynasties, which witnessed 14 emperors of the Ming dynasty and ten emperors of the Qing dynasty.
  • Lunch at a local restaurant and transferred back to hotel.

 Day 4: Departure from Beijing

  • Picked up in the hotel lobby and transferred to Beijing International Airport to take your flight back home.

EU Ambassador Markus Ederer and his bride Beate Grzeski celebrated their union in a traditional Chinese wedding ceremony

on the Great Wall last at Mutianyu in Beijing’s northern suburbs. Beate Grzeski is the economic counselor at the German embassy, and

the couple hosted about 100 friends and family members from Germany, many dressed in traditional Bavarian dress and lederhosen.

Festivities from Chinese tradition included a bow and arrow to bring luck to the couple, who gave their guests from home a

real taste of Chinese culture with performers such as musicians, dancers and bianlian (face changing).
